On 27–28 January 2026, the SQAT project took part in the EU CAP Network workshop “Sensing the future: practical applications of proximal and remote sensing for farmers and advisors”, held in Valencia, Spain.
During the workshop, our partner Tamme van der Wal from Aerovision, presented the project poster, highlighting SQAT’s innovative approach to soil monitoring.
The poster showcased how SQAT combines autonomous robotics, in-field soil sensors and Copernicus satellite data to generate high-resolution soil variability maps that support smarter, more sustainable farming decisions.
The event brought together farmers, advisors, researchers, technology providers and representatives of Horizon Europe projects to exchange practical experiences and discuss barriers and success factors for the uptake of sensing technologies in agriculture.
Discussions strongly aligned with SQAT’s focus on making soil data affordable, accurate, applicable and actionable for practitioners.
Participation in this workshop strengthened SQAT’s visibility within the EU CAP Network and provided valuable feedback from end users and advisors on the future integration of sensing technologies into everyday farm management.
