During the workshop from 29.06 do 03.07.2026 the SQAT project was presented during the EO Practical Session organised as part of the Erasmus+ PASEC – Precise Agriculture and Sustainable Environment Curricula Modernisation Supporting Climate Changes Resilient Society project at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.
The training focused on the application of geospatial technologies, Earth Observation, and precision agriculture.
During the session, Terra Controlling TMD introduced SQAT as a practical example of how satellite data can support modern soil management.
Participants learned how Earth Observation data can be used to identify spatial variability within agricultural fields, define preliminary management zones, and support the planning of soil sampling locations.
The session also included a practical workflow for generating management zones using satellite imagery, followed by a field demonstration of soil sampling techniques.
The training brought together representatives from several PASEC partner institutions, including IPB University, Tadulako University, Syiah Kuala University, Kasetsart University, Prince of Songkla University, and the University of Novi Sad, creating an international environment for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
The activity demonstrated a strong synergy between the Horizon Europe SQAT project and the Erasmus+ PASEC project by connecting education, research and practical digital solutions for sustainable and precision agriculture.
