SQAT recently participated in the second Horizon Europe Sister Projects Liaison Webinar, organised by the AgriDataValue project and the National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania.
The webinar brought together a range of European initiatives working on digital agriculture, Earth Observation, decision support systems, livestock management, rural development, sustainable food systems, and data governance.
The event provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussion on how agricultural and environmental data can be transformed into practical and trusted recommendations for farmers and other stakeholders.
During the event, Tamara Popović presented SQAT’s work on smart soil mapping, highlighting how the project combines satellite data, soil sensors, robotics, and field-based laboratory analysis to support applications such as variable-rate fertilisation, liming, seeding, tillage, and carbon farming.
A central discussion theme throughout the webinar was the need to move from data collection to actionable decision-making.
Participants highlighted the importance of trust, transparency, interoperability, and user-friendly solutions to ensure that digital tools provide real value under practical farming conditions.
The webinar concluded with a discussion on strengthening cooperation among Horizon Europe sister projects through shared dissemination activities, synergies, and continued collaboration.
SQAT was pleased to contribute to this exchange and to engage with projects working towards a common objective: transforming agricultural data into trusted, actionable, and sustainable decisions.
