SQAT was recently presented at the 6th Autonomous Off-Highway Machinery Technology Summit (AOMT Europe 2026), held on March 11–12 in Munich, Germany.
During the event, Marco Morf (OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences) delivered a keynote presentation focused on implementing smart farming applications through the integration of Earth Observation data, soil sensors, and robotics.
The presentation addressed key challenges and opportunities in the development of autonomous agricultural systems, including:
- balancing automation with human decision-making (human-in-the-loop approaches)
- enabling operations in complex and hard-to-reach terrains
- combining multiple data sources to support practical field-level decisions
The summit brought together experts from across sectors such as agriculture, construction, and mining, providing a valuable platform to exchange knowledge on the future of autonomous machinery and digital technologies.
SQAT’s presence at AOMT highlights the project’s contribution to advancing practical, field-ready solutions for smarter and more efficient soil management.
