On 20–21 September 2025, the SQAT robot was presented by project partner ILVO at Werktuigendagen, the largest Flemish demonstration fair, held in Oudenaarde (Belgium).
The event welcomed over 47,000 visitors across two days. Despite rainy weather, there was strong interest in the live demonstration of SQAT’s robotic soil sampling system.
Visitors stopped to observe the process, ask questions, and learn more about how such technologies can support modern soil management.
The robot performed manual probe-based sampling throughout the fair, attracting attention with its precision and smooth operation.
While the system is still under development, the demo successfully showed its potential — especially for soil service providers who support farming decisions.
Information leaflets in Dutch and English were available at the booth.
This demonstration marks a major step forward for SQAT. With a strong foundation now in place, the project is moving quickly toward a fully functional prototype — bringing us closer to faster, easier, and more data-driven soil insights.
