The SQAT project was presented at the 10th Swiss Organic Arable Farming Day (Schweizer Bio-Ackerbautage), held on 19–20 June 2026 at the Staatsdomäne St. Katharinental in Diessenhofen, Switzerland.
The event, organised by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), Bio Suisse and partners, is one of Switzerland’s most important platforms for knowledge exchange in organic and sustainable agriculture. This year’s programme focused on soil fertility, featuring practical field demonstrations, machinery showcases, guided tours and expert presentations.
Our partners from OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences showcased the SQAT robot to visitors from across the agricultural sector, including farmers, researchers, advisors and industry representatives.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the future of soil sampling and analysis and to demonstrate how emerging technologies can contribute to smarter soil management and more informed farming decisions.
In addition, Alex Meier (OST) gave an interview about SQAT during the event, presenting the project’s objectives and explaining how robotics, soil sensing technologies, and data-driven approaches can support the future of agriculture. You can watch the interview here: URL
We thank our OST colleagues for representing SQAT and helping raise awareness of innovative approaches to soil health and precision agriculture.
